About Us

JMC Enterprises (dba Lakes Region Customs) is owned and operated by Joe Carriere and is based in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Joe is a licensed pilot and retired United States Air Force officer proudly serving our country for over 22 years in the field, Pentagon, and Capitol Hill. In the private sector, Joe has held distinguished positions with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and various defense industrial base contractors as an electrical engineer, program manager, and business development professional; and still works as a Government consultant on projects vital to our national security. He holds degrees in biology, electrical engineering, business administration, and national security studies. Joe uniquely melds this experience and brings an unmatched sense of service, commitment to excellence, and quality focus to forge the foundation of his craft and interpersonal relationships.

He draws on his childhood experience ‘working the trades’ with his father and uncles to bring quality craftsmanship together with technological innovation. He has continued this familial tradition and has brought on Michael Frey (nephew) as a lead mechanical engineer to refine designs and operations. These experiences coupled with helping with his mother’s artful craftwork have implanted the entrepreneurial spirit and lifelong passion for his creative expressions. Joe takes great pride in providing his customers with unique quality workpieces and is delighted by customer’s ecstatic reaction when they accept their custom-designed personally crafted piece.

When not in his shop, Joe loves spending time in the kitchen, his gardens, relaxing on the boat, and spending quality time with family/friends along the shores of Pine River Pond in Wakefield, New Hampshire.
